Neonatology in Utah
Primary Children’s Hospital is a free-standing children’s hospital with more than 60 medical and surgical pediatric subspecialties, with a 50 bed level-IV NICU. Our hospital is located in Salt Lake City and serves one of the largest geographic areas of any children’s hospital, including Utah, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Wyoming, and Alaska.

Utah has perfect powder, rugged red rock, alpine lakes and more… It has five national parks (Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, and Zion), eight national monuments (Cedar Breaks, Dinosaur, Grand Staircase-Escalante, Hovenweep, National Bridges, Bears Ears, Rainbow Bridge, and Timpanogos Cave), two national recreation areas (Flaming Gorge and Glen Canyon), seven national forests (Ashley, Caribou-Targhee, Dixie, Fishlake, Manti-La Sal, Sawtooth, and Uinta-Wasatch-Cache), and numerous state parks and monuments. Fun Facts about Utah:
- The official state bird is the California Gull. The Sea Gull Monument in Salt Lake City honors the gull who saved the people of Utah by consuming the Rocky Mountain crickets which were destroying all the crops in 1848.
- The state foods are sugar beets and Jell-O.
- The Great Salt Lake is the largest lake west of the Mississippi River.
