June 2022, 45th Annual Meeting held in Big Sky, MT

Welcome to the District VIII AAP Section on Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Montana Page.  The state representative is Bonnie Stephens (bstephens@communitymed.org).

The current chair of the AAP District VIII SONMP Council is Alison Rentz, MD from St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, Montana (alison.rentz@imail.org)

Montana is one of the largest states, with a land area of 145,552 sq miles, but serves a population of only about 1 million people. We also serve the surrounding areas in Wyoming and North Dakota by air transport to one of our hospitals.  There are currently six Level 3 nurseries in our state which provide care for our most fragile babies over this large area.
